In Punch and Judy theatre, the Groom often takes on a celebratory and sometimes humorous role. As a hand puppet, he brings elegance and a touch of romance to the stage. The groom wears a tall top hat, a festive white shirt and black fabric in contrast. In his right hand he proudly holds a golden ring. His cheerful face with red lips, blond hair and a charming smile makes him the perfect character for a wedding scene in the traditional puppet theatre. He may appear as a charming character preparing Punch for a wedding or assisting him with a humorous mishap during the celebration.

The Groom character is often depicted as a friendly and sometimes shy figure, providing entertainment through his romantic and comedic traits. His role may involve interacting with other characters in amusing situations or adding charm to the story. Through his formal appearance and often humorous actions, he brings a special flair to the narrative.
